Removing the Printed Hardpoint Plugs From the Composite Frame

Time to remove the 3D printed plugs which protected the hard-point working surfaces and allowed the fibers to orient more naturally at their termination.

Marked their depth for rough-scoring.

Scoring of the carbon composite with a Dremel cut-off wheel.

Plugs came out easily with a light strike from the opposite side. The part-all wax was very effective.

The head tube had 3-4 small spots of epoxy which had wicked past the plug and wax. It removed easily and will be completely removed when the head tube is chased before cup install.

Main pivot plugs scored:

I couldn't get the cut-off wheel in between the main pivot and bottom bracket. So I scored and knocked-off the carbon from 75% of the plug's circumference. Then it was able to pop loose.
