This diaphragm style pump is great. No oil consumption. Far more quiet than the rotary vane style for HVAC work.

New black butyl tacky tape also sealed the film perfectly. The new pump was able to pull and hold -80 kPa. That will provide about 10-12psi of vacuum to compact a layup. Simply a bagging test.
