Compression Molding Shock Mounts in 3D Printed Molds then Finishing

The shock mounts need to be compression molded.

 Molds were printed in PLA. Waxed and fitted with precision steel rod to form the through-hole.


De-molding the shock mounts.

Finished parts look acceptable. A few large bubbles.



Printed jig to hold the pivot in-line with a countersink tool.

Flatting the countersink tool for clearance to the alignment rod.

Rotating the countersink tool with a printed knob for additional torque.
