Technically a rolling frame.
I designed a crown race press tool to match the tapered steerer geometry:
And then printed it out with a brim. A thick wall and dense fill was used to handle the abuse.
A bit of hammering later... race is stressed.
Silver marks were ground off. No concern for the structure.
Derailleur cables and air-up then test ride.

Looks great! Nice job, enjoy that first ride.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks! Derailleur housing is here, but I am packing for a move. The frame will be ridden, but only around the yard. It might be a while before it sees a trail.
